Reveal the Shield Special Ops JAZZ

Reveal the Shield Deluxe Class PERCEPTOR

RTS PERCEPTOR in robot mode and vehicle mode with legends class RAVAGE

I wound not have gotten RTS Perceptor if not with the mark down of the toy. I already have the Robot Heroes Perceptor and the 25th Anniversary G1 series Perceptor in my collection so RTS Perceptor is my third character.  The toy is really incarnation of his G1 original mold in terms of color scheme, head and the silver chromes.  But unlike his G1 microscope mode, RTS Perceptor in vehicle mode is a half track. He's tall and got some pretty articulation good for playtime.

Hunt for the Decepticon Leader Class Starscream Review

Leader Class Starscream in the new yellow box "Hunt for the Decepticons" series hasbro has finally arrived in the Philippines during the TF Autobot Alliance event. It has a totally new packaging with a box size smaller than TFTM leader class. In front, the movie accurate Starscream is held inside the box with the usual twisties with the logo of Hunt for the Decepticons sticker suctioned on the bottom left of the plastic. The box sides publicize Starscream’s technical specifications and its special features like pop-out weapons and arm converts to cannon. At the back is his adds on gimmicks like electronic lights and sounds such as Starscream speaks, light-up eyes and chest, jet engine and air combat sounds, automatic conversion sounds, and firing missiles. With such an innovative stratagem or scheme of the toy, HFTD Starscream can be voted as the best incarnation of the movie figure so far.

HFTD Leader Class Starscream (Robot mode)

In Robot mode
We wanted him to be bigger so Hasbro has made a witty prompt to make him a leader class figure and his just faultless for being straight and hi-fi toy to his movie. I made a wise decision of owning him instead of his voyager mold. His very well-articulated in forelimbs (shoulders, arms, and hands) and hind limbs (legs, knees and feet) suggesting a lot of poses can be done with him.
Starcreams’s arms are long and armored with pop-out missiles and canon weapons on both arms in battle mode. His hands are wicked and can be used to place the cannon weapon. You can also place the cannon and missiles on Stascream’s back wing.

F-22 Raptor mode

Over the top he got the tattoos similar to his ROTF voyager class and with 2 missiles attached on either side of his wings. The gray and black color combination looks cool on him replicating almost the same as in the movie. A little bit bulky at the bottom but it does really affect the over-all aestheticism of the toy in the F-22 Raptor jet. There’s a launching missile hidden in between the two legs and with very descent landing gears. His wide and the hands are sticking up at his back the same with TFTM and ROTF voyager class Starscream, but this time the hands and arms are hidden discretely. It’s very interesting to note that Hasbro has finally learned from their mistake by hiding the Starscream head properly and other related issues concerning his F-22 raptor mode.

HFTD Leader Class Starscream (F-22 Raptor mode)

In jet mode his 31 cm long with a wing span of 22 cm width it’s almost the same size with Masterpiece Starscream but no bigger than Supreme Class Cybertron Starscream. You will hear the jet engine and air combat sounds and his odd voice saying, “You cannot defeat Starscream” by pressing the button with a decepticon insignia lying adjacent the cockypit. The transformation to R-22 raptor mode is quite easy for someone who has experienced playing the TFTM and ROTF voyager class Starscream even without using the manual.

HFTD LC Starscream up close and personal

Pros
Well-articulated
New gimmicks and features
Movie accurate toy

Cons
G1 Starscream voice
A bit unstable chicken legs

This is a size comparison of HFTD Leader Class Starscream with Cybertron Supreme Class Starscream and Hasbro Masterpiece Starscream in jet mode. I really like putting them side by side together it reminds of his evolution from G1 to the current era.

Dark of the Moon Deluxe Class BARRICADE Review

Barricade is maybe one of the characters that has been repainted in the movie line frequently. His cruelty was first seen in his confrontation scene with Sam Witwicky in his famous lines, “Are you username LadiesMan217?” and “Where is the eBay item 21153? Where are the glasses? But perhaps his most unforgettable fighting scene with Bumblebee made him one of the famous villains in the modern era.
Product Description:

BARRICADE doesn’t make friends, he finds potential victims. His seemingly benevolent police car vehicle mode has been known to trick potential targets into trusting him. BARRICADE has the ability to stalk and eliminate nearly any AUTOBOT he wishes. Humans and AUTOBOTS alike should take cover when they notice police sirens in the distance – it could be the last thing they ever hear!

                                         Vehicle Mode Review

Barricade transforms into a Saleen S281 Police Car not too much different from the original mold except for the size.Mech-tech weapon is attached in hole at the middle of his light bar.  Blaster or Gatling gun is convered to a robot wrecking claw for maximum destruction. Smaller than TFTM and ROTF Barricade approximately 13.2 cm in length and 5.2 cm in width.  Paint casts are almost the same except minor color scheme modifications on numbers 643 is silver and the word POLICE
at the back is black while at the door is dark gray).  No FRENZY this time but the car’s front gear is inter-changeable (with two middle gears).  Overall, he is a nice looking vehicle where his robot mode is hidden discretely.

                                              Robot Mode Review

Comparable to a scout-size robot approximately 13.5 cm tall.  Head sculpt details and arms are nicely engineered.  Noteworthy weapon grasping and impressive robotic hands.  Mech-tech weapon can be mounted in one of his arms.  No ball joints in the arms but articulation on elbows and hands are very satisfactory.  Waist swivels with ball and socket joints in the hips giving the robot badass poses.  Knee bends at 90 degrees and bipedal feet provide stability in robot mode.  The general color patterns such as black, white, gray, and light purple are the same from his preview mold.

                                         Mech-tech weapon Review

Gatling gun convertible to a huge tri-claw chicken feet weapon.  Mech-tech gimmick is to slide it off and spring it back to retract the claw.  There is no way to lock the claw so you can just hold it with your bare hand or fingers.  Entire weapon is black including the Gatling gun while the claws are gray.

  Pros

*A more decent representation of Barricade in vehicle
*A better looking barricade robot especially the head sculpt is nicely done
*Poseable figure and playability is considerably great
*Well-articulated in the arms (shoulders, elbows, and hands) and legs (hips, knees, and feet)
*Head turns at a certain degree and odd looking face is design looks good

Cons

*Over-sized mech-tech weapon in vehicle is annoying
*The crotch area is too high giving his petite appearance
*A bit difficult to stand hind legs of the frog

Rating (In a scale of 1-5)

Articulation – 4
Mech-tech – 3.5
Fun - 4
Poseable – 4
Color scheme – 5

Overall rating – 4.1/5

Personal thoughts:

Every toy has a story to tell so here's mine. The scout-size car is a cool and show accurate movie figure. It finally sinks in to me after playing the toy several times though scale is not really an issue. The figure could survive without the mech-tech weapon or they could’ve at least made it a little smaller to fit in a deluxe class. Barricade robot has a lot of potential to offer with better engineered hind legs. Though it offers a lot articulation for its playability, the legs of TFTM and ROTF Barricade are more stable and manly looking. His grumpy looking face and entire arms are fun to play with. Should you get this toy? Is a question that you can only answer after reading this review. I'll leave the decision to you whether or not this toys is worth every single peso. Below is a quick glance between TFTM Barricade and DOTM Bariccade in Car mode and robot mode.

Reveal the Shield Deluxe Class CYCLONUS

Well, what can I say about this toy? RTS deluxe class Cyclonus is the perfect predecessor of his G1 mold in my opinion.  I've been wanting to get this mold for ages and that chance has just made it into reality.  He's tall in robot mode and I just love the purple color painted on him. In alternatedmode, he transforms into a cybertronian jet fighter with his minicon attached to him as sort of a blaster. His minicon, Nightstick is one of the best miniconsin modern era.  He transforms from a robot to a poweful blaster of Cyclonus. Overall, the gimmick and playability of the toy is really fantastic.
